REPRODUCTION, BREEDING AND FATTENING

At Agricola Bacau, the poultry and living stock farms are isolated from the rest of the area by sanitary and veterinarian screening devices, in order to provide controlled access to the people and to the means of transport.

The poultry and the living stock originate from performing reproduction farms; they are carefully selected and fed with the fodders specific to each group of age and bred according to the regulations of the European Community on the accommodation and the sanitary and veterinarian conditions.

The vets and the technicians provide daily expert assistance and therefore the health condition of our poultry and living stock is under permanent control and assessment.

The progeny is generated in our own incubation units equipped with modern machinery where all the process and sanitary veterinarian conditions are met in order to get healthy and strong individuals, able to demonstrate their biologic potential.

The egg production activity is organised in a particular farm and the collection, sorting, marking and packing operations are automated and fully secured.

The porcine farm activity is organised on a closed circuit basis with a permanent flow and includes two main components: the production of biologic material capable of highly genetic production potential, intended to our own farms or to marketing purposes, and the reproduction, breeding and fattening of multiracial hybrids in specialised farms planned for pork production.

The bovine breeding farm is organised on a “free stable with permanent warm bed” basis and the milking system, fully automated, is performed in a special room. Most of the milk produced is processed in our own dairy product factory.
